I PM'ed couple days ago. Nothing.
Now this might sound morbid, but in Gene and I's age group (is that correct grammar) it is ok to look
at obituaries :(
I'd rather know than wonder. I just don't know the city he lived in to google.

Had I known beforehand that you were going to visit Birmingham, AL I’d have been checking obits, but not because of your age. :p

I really do like that beautiful image you got from the gardens there and you got me wanting to take a drive up US 280 to see the place (I’ve never been).

He lives in Fontana California. He and I talked about it a couple years ago when I was in Joshua Tree. I found enough to get his address. No reply to email, and I did not find an obituary, I looked.

I saw his post in another forum 10 days ago. Check it out. I hope all is well with him.

Yeah, that was his last post, a long dry spell for Gene.

A simple PM here may do the trick, perhaps.

8 days ago Gene liked someone's photo. Hopefully all is good and he is on a trip and maybe off the grid.

Hey guys! I hope you are all doing well. I haven't been active for 16 months because I've been crazy busy making face masks and other things. Now that the face mask business has slowed down, I have started making hand bags and am back painting live at weddings.
I have been lurking here of course but not much.
So here are some things I've made; I know you may not be interested because they are mostly things for women but that's OK.
So, my live painting business cratered during the pandemic and I had to reinvent myself somehow. Since I've sewed ever since I was s kid, I thought sewing was another way to supplement my SS.
But the live event painting business is now almost back to normal, so I will be shooting again!
Good to see you all!

These are beautiful, Renata. So pleased to see you back. I love the mask (as much as one can love a mask!) I bought from you. Although I use it a lot, it's still like new - it is so beautifully made and finished. I'm sure your bags will be a great success.

Saturday/Sunday on a local beach. Not the best for light pollution facing the Milky Way but I think they will be okay.......

This was a non-tracked but stacked shot facing more south later in the morning. I fired the shots off quickly as I knew the sky would be getting light pretty soon.

I didn't even take separate foregrounds!!

3 crowfly miles from the house.
6 hour walk or a 1 hour drive and then a 1/2 mile walk.
vista from Roan High Bluff.
A7C+24/2.8G. Size and weight of this combo is loveable :)
