Another from the Bruce Peninsula, I was concerned about the grey skies while we were up there but in hindsight I actually like to look as opposed to plain clear blue skies.

I put the unfinished version of this in the lighthouse thread; this one is the final (a composite of two shots with the more pleasing figures from each). I'm more and more impressed with what the RX10IV is capable of. The only niggle is that even a ten stop ND isn't really enough with a limit of f8 to avoid diffraction softening - I had sold my 13 and 16 stops through lack of use but I'll have to pick up another if I want to get proper smooth seas (I love this look as well, so worth having both - it's like carrying a six and a ten with a bigger sensored camera).

St. Mary's Island and Lighthouse at Whitley Bay, North Tyneside. RX10IV and a cheap Pig Iron ten stop. Edits with Capture One (shadow recovery, clarity, darkened the blue of the sky, stretched the dynamic range to max) and Photoshop (added the girl on the right who was in the previous shot but the other two figures were moving too much in that one).

I think I've forgotten what its like to take my camera out! Finally got out this weekend and shot this early morning as the sun was rising at the beach. Love the patterns in the sand

Some Photoshop fun after a recent visit to the local Narrow Gauge Museum in Alna Maine, the Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington Railway Museum. They aim to represent the railroad as it was in the early 1900s.
