I think Carlo has that lens.

In other news, I got the green light to buy the a1. Precision Camera in Austin has some in stock. Adorama too but they charge tax.

That’s great! This camera upgrade moment has been a long time coming for you and the a1 is an incredible upgrade over the a7R II. :)

Beautiful bird Bill, never seen one in the wild, they are not indigenous in my area but we do have a local raptor breeding centre that has one and they are absolutely beautiful birds.

Congrats on the A1 Alfredo, the A1 is the first camera that I've used that fit all genre of photography that I enjoy. Expensive but it's an amazing camera.

Thank you David! Yes it’s been a while since I purchased my trusty a7RII. About 6 years. I plan to keep my a7RII as it holds a lot of sentimental value to me. Will sell my a6000 and a few unused lenses. I have a Zeiss 35mm Distagon Canon mount that will be for sale and my Tokina 90 macro.

Thank you Jose! You, Travis and David swayed me. It really looks like a complete camera.

Definitely Lee. Like a kid at Christmas. Until it arrives, I will be reviewing several YouTube setup videos. Need to get a screen shield too. I need another battery too.

Congrats on the camera Alfredo - sounds well deserved after 6 years!

I mentioned to my wife recently that the new A7 IV was out. She didn't look too impressed!! Both my kids (6 and 8) have got covid at the mo - they are almost through and only had very mild symptoms. At the start, I said I probably need to pre-order the new camera to give me something to hold on to in case I also got the virus. It didn't work!! ;-)a Then she reminded me I've already bought two lenses this year, so that was the end of that conversation. Think I need to give it about a year and then I'll start slipping it back into conversation!

Anyhoo - I haven't posted any pics for a while so here is a shortish selection...
