Looking forward to your thoughts on this lens.

Looking forward to using it this weekend as having a newborn limits the play time lol

Oh yes, been there. Enjoy the time with little ones. They grow up way too fast!

Thank you! Can I ask that you hit the quote button instead of reply so it's easier to see which post you are commenting on?

This nightscape shows off the peaks better than my first image. It also shows the alpine lake in the foreground.

Will do! But sometimes here on HughesNet even clicking on reply doesn't do anything. Living with limitations here :(

I know there are everywhere, but as I posted on Flickr 'Where we live there are 20-40 Canada Geese daily that SWIM to the dock for snacks (I actually bought real goose food for them) but they never FLY! They will soon take off for wherever they go during the day but this is always before the Sun has come over the ridge. When they return in the evening it is always after the Sun has set.....so rarely a chance at a good flight shot. So this Canadian was a treat from the trip to the Outer Banks.'
So a great day for me to finally be pleased with a CIF (Canadian in flight haha)

I have not touched another camera on this trip. I am willing to switch between video and stills with the A1 to have the quality and resolution. It is such a different beast. I am still learning the menus though...this morning I could not find Bright Monitoring...and needed it!

Same here Travis. I have Bright Monitoring set to C3 on the left side. I gave the camera a good workout this morning at my local state park. Still learning all of custom settings.

Great first shots with your a1 Alfredo!!! The hawk is great and I especially love the fall leaves photo.

You’re always making me wish I had a 100-400GM. :) When you eventually get a 200-600mm - I recommend you try to keep your 100-400mm because the 200-600mm is long and heavy and not much joy to use (though the reach is so desirable). Having both zooms is the way to go imo.

Thanks David! I"m a big fan of the 100-400 GM. Just excellent. I do plan to keep it whenever I add the 200-600 lens next year.

From this morning's outing.

These little guys were kind enough to pose for me.
