Thanks Jose! These bird on a stick type shots often appear quite busy so I try to reduce the clutter by lifting shadows and color grading. A little negative clarity helps too.
Yes I think bird photography is quite challenging but rewarding. I used to shoot water fowl years ago when I lived in Houston. We had some great bird sanctuaries there.
Oh just 30 minutes because I had to get home.
Thanks! Since I don’t have the lenses for reach I like to frame the bird in it’s environment. I guess this makes it an environmental bird portrait.
