Totally reasonable. Makes sense. Pro Contrast (alone) is just not that great a feature to be spending money on imo. I regularly use quite a lot of the NIK tools: several adjustments within Color Efex (Pro and Tonal Contrast, Detail Extractor, Skylight, and quite a few others) along with two other NIK tools: Silver Efex and Viveza. So, I regard NIK tools as useful enough to warrant owning the DXO license.

I imagine there are some YT tuts that cover how to replicate the effect of Pro Contrast within basic PS or LR.

I’m in the same boat here along with DXO Raw. That has the best high iso cleanup I’ve ever seen. It’s been a long time since software had surprised me but the AI high iso cleanup of DXO RAW was jaw dropping.

I fell off my bike recently cos I forgot to unclip :-P . Came to a stop then fell over sideways. Luckily no camera gear on the bike

Falling over while clipped in is a right of passage lol

Almost 100 video clips...300 stills...and used everything except the 24-70GM. It was a 12 hour day. And it was phenomenal....and just what I needed.

I'm still working the Red-shouldered Hawk. I've got over 12 months in the project and nothing to
show for it yet. I'm close now, just the timing. I can only sit in a blind for so long.

But all is not lost; the very very rare Mallard graced me haha!
