MedicineMan4040 wrote in post #19331005 I'm still working the Red-shouldered Hawk. I've got over 12 months in the project and nothing to show for it yet. I'm close now, just the timing. I can only sit in a blind for so long.
But all is not lost; the very very rare Mallard graced me haha!
Out a walk earlier with the kids and couldn’t get the a9ii to take a photo. Head scratching…remove battery…more head scratching…remove and refit lens…check settings…still nothing…check menus….head scratching…check fn menu…still nothing. Finally realise the top dial mode was on timer!

Never had an issue like that with the old A7 mate. Wanna swap?

It took me 3 years of off and on trying but now we are in business daily if we want it.... I'm not very good at sitting still either, about an hour in the hide is all I normally manage.
TRhoads wrote in post #19330914 I don't know what anyone else did today...but I had a heck of a lot of fun chasing a rare Corvette around in the mountains...
BornCoqui wrote in post #19331291 Carlisle Blue is such an amazing color.
It's funny, I never would have known about it without Don having it...and I have given him a lot of grief about it over the years, but up close, it is a great color for these cars. And pretty rare, so, it has that going for it. It was the only color he wanted.
Sometimes I get an idea in my head, and I will become consumed by it. It is all I can think about, it wakes me up in the middle of the night, it makes it hard to focus on anything else.
This video is one such project. It is to date, my most detailed and planned video I have done. It is a HUGE departure from everything else on my channel. It is not content...it is meant to be enjoyed on a big screen, with some dedicated time. Just under 6 minutes. But it will go by about as fast as the Corvette did on the backroads!
I hope you enjoy. I have put so much into this, a couple months of planning, scripting, hours finding just the right music, timelining, storyboards and then an 11 hour production day...all leads to this. It isn't 100% perfect, but the little things taught me something, and if I ever do something else like this...I will know. It is all a learning process.

Very nice Travis! Really enjoyed that. Drone work was great too. I was going to ask how you done the shot around the 4:30 mark with the corvette driving towards the camera but after hearing your dad was support car driver I assume you were shooting out the back of it?

Your best to date, I bet a lot of Cars and Coffee meetup participants would like to have there special ride highlighted in a video like this. Room for thought, as an opportunity for some extra pocket change for you.

Thanks Eddie. The drone work is part of what I know I need to get better at...but it was the first time out really flying with intent, I can practice at home all I want but it is nothing like actually doing it. Yes, I was in the back of a pickup truck for the rolling shots, my dad was driving. I am not thrilled with how they turned out, they feel too slow. Because they were, trucks don't cut through the mountains the same as a Corvette and I didn't want to have an accident.

Thanks. It is a combination of everything I have been learning for the last 2 years. The Owner of the Vette thinks along that same line, that it might turn into more projects...which would be cool, and I would not mind. It would force me to get 107 licensed, and probably buy a better drone. The closing scene maxed out the Mini 2's abilities to fly.
Thank you both. I actually went back a week later on a clear night to reshoot this Chapel but I prefer this image in all honesty. I'm waiting to catch it at moonrise too because a low moon will light up through the small valley over the water and onto the Chapel.
