Sometimes I get an idea in my head, and I will become consumed by it. It is all I can think about, it wakes me up in the middle of the night, it makes it hard to focus on anything else.

This video is one such project. It is to date, my most detailed and planned video I have done. It is a HUGE departure from everything else on my channel. It is not content...it is meant to be enjoyed on a big screen, with some dedicated time. Just under 6 minutes. But it will go by about as fast as the Corvette did on the backroads!

I hope you enjoy. I have put so much into this, a couple months of planning, scripting, hours finding just the right music, timelining, storyboards and then an 11 hour production day...all leads to this. It isn't 100% perfect, but the little things taught me something, and if I ever do something else like this...I will know. It is all a learning process.

I'll save that to watch on the home screen later on.

It is snowing today...and the birds are still active so I sat out in the yard and photographed them for a while. The ability to crop with the A1 is a huge bonus...since I don't have anything more than my 70-200, these are all cropped way in to about 3500 pixels on the long side.

Hi all, and happy new year.

Finally got a couple to share. Went out to Leigh Woods (next to Bristol's Suspension Bridge) Friday morning. Plan was to get some foggy woodland type shots. Weather didn't quite follow the fog forecast, or the heavy fog pattern for every day of the week prior (!) however, I got these two that I'm quite pleased with.

Wonderful captures Travis!!
I sat in the blind today (no roof) for 45 mins. Heavy snow turned to rain. Soon enough I was forced in again with nothing to show. You're shots
keep me motivated though. On one run to get a few more logs for I saw an eastern Towhee...beautiful perch and with a nice snowy background....no camera!

I am trying to devise a way to renovate the back stairs to have a roof over it as a hide. I had to keep the camera covered today and that made shooting a bit more challenging. But I could not pass up the rare opportunity.

We have several Towhee's in the yard, there was a female working the ground today, but I didn't get a photo, she was rooting around in the leaves.

Thanks Eddie. The drone work is part of what I know I need to get better at...but it was the first time out really flying with intent, I can practice at home all I want but it is nothing like actually doing it. Yes, I was in the back of a pickup truck for the rolling shots, my dad was driving. I am not thrilled with how they turned out, they feel too slow. Because they were, trucks don't cut through the mountains the same as a Corvette and I didn't want to have an accident.

Thanks. It is a combination of everything I have been learning for the last 2 years. The Owner of the Vette thinks along that same line, that it might turn into more projects...which would be cool, and I would not mind. It would force me to get 107 licensed, and probably buy a better drone. The closing scene maxed out the Mini 2's abilities to fly.

Very nice Travis, though I kept hoping to see a mustang abreast or in the footage with the corvette. ;-)a. Couldn’t you speed up the footage in post to make it faster? I guess if you don’t overdue it, it’ll look realistic.

Thanks. My car didn't make the trip to the mountains. We used a truck. I tried speeding up the footage from the back of the truck and it didn't look good, it wasn't natural and it was obvious. Lesson learned.

Got rid of my Christmas Tree last night at a friend's farm. A good supply of whiskey and trees kept us toasty during the 20 degree evening. :-)
