Travis, as much as I could dream of a sports type car the dream just doesn't jell with
my reality.
Anyway I don't think I ever put up a pic of my retirement present. More tool than passion.
Poof is still working (marry a younger woman and piggyback on her insurance!), but this time of
year I have to drive her to the gate (about a mile) where we leave her car (Subaru). The country plows
up to the gate....on my side of the gate we're on our own.
The snow was 8-10 inches and just out of the Subaru's comfort zone. The 4R is good to 12-13.

Travis, a retirement present yes, but I retired in February...almost a year ago. I don't 'daily' at all. It has 6600 miles on it now, 7 when I bought it.
My daily is a Chevy Trax and/or the 26 year old Nissan Hardbody.
I couldn't stomach the fuel as a daily for the 4R. It goes by a gas station and starts salivating haha! But it is great for trips and will hopefully be going to
Florida in a couple of weeks.

Same Cardinal as last week, just another angle. This of course before the big snow storm.
I didn't shoot anything during the storm...spent my time keeping the wood stoves running.
So far we've heated with wood for over 2 months solid now. Nice to have the propane backup
system but wood is very affordable up here especially compared to propane. We do use a bit of
propane though, just got refilled last week (again good timing for the storm). We'd used 160 gallons
since first of October. That is running two refrigerators, the big chest freezer, the Rinnai water heater,
and the clothes dryer, all running propane. We sit on 800 gallons at any given time in the big tanks. If running
only the refrigerators and freezer we could go 8+ years. Those appliances are that frugal.

I was surprised at the fuel inefficiency of the 4Runner...almost as bad as my Mustang!

I got 20mpg for a week. Posted that on a4R forum. They said I was lying! or couldn't do math! Haha!
I even told them I was wearing studded snow tires hehe!
But the truth is that was when I was working and from the house to the hospital at the time I averaged 45mph.
Don't think you could drive a Mustang of any flavor at 45 and enjoy :)
The 4R really is ancient technology. Maybe a good thing. Time will tell.
