Thanks Robert, I do like that one!
I meant your new 'my' hawk as I know you're getting there with that one too. Anyway your new one is a smart looking bird as all buteos are and I can see it won't be long before you are wowing us with images of him/her.
A fair proportion of food I put out goes to corvids too, we have magpies crows and ravens but mostly it's the magpies that steal the food as they are really fast in and out. I have a whole bunch of stuff that would be good were it not for the food in claw or beak too!

Really interesting, the Magpies. We have them here in the states but out west.
I wish there were closer because I find them a really attractive bierd and love their antics.

You are rocking the a1, Robert. Exquisite junco shot.

Bill, appreciated. You vulture is fantastic.
Hope to be taking the A1 to Florida in 23 days. Only so much here in the tundra I can shoot.
Fingers crossed the world in intact by then.

They are a beautiful bird, not just the plain black and white that most would say if asked! :)

Thank you Robert! They are indeed skittish. This one flew to this nearby branch and I was ready for it.

This is surprisingly difficult. Unless I'm being really picky.....

I have several other shots 'in the bag' but although I like the minimal nature of them, I'm not happy with the skies......

I like this one again Lee.

In other news I eventually tried out the Kamber 40 today after your recommendation. Really liked it. Done 12 miles today up a mountain and back with camera in the ICU and the tripod attached plus 3 litres water, food, jet boil, waterproofs, warm layers etc so bag felt heavy before I started walking so I was a bit apprehensive but it was really comfortable and the weight transferred nice onto my hips. Getting the camera out was working well to with the back entry so exactly what I was after. Weather wasn’t great so no real shots as such but good trial run.

Thanks Eddie. Glad you got on okay with it. It's still my go-to bag for sure. Does get weighty though shooting night skies with the A7, 20G, 35GM, MSM tracker/ballhead, dew heater, powerbank, film camera & lenses, two tripods, lights, flask.....

I did pick up an Atmos AG65 for a reasonable price, obviously it's not rear opening but hopefully be good for some wild camping at some point.
