Gorgeous raptor and shot!
Once we get this hawk secured then we'll progress to owls.
Plenty of them up here, but a devil to find when you want one.

I my area, hawks, particularly Red-tails are a dime a dozen, I've photographed them in my from my front yard with the odd squirrel or pigeon, I've even witnessed a Northern Goshawk capture a city pigeon on one occasion but Owls are difficult to find even outside of the city. I like Owls:-)

Managed a walk out with the camera this morning, took the 200-600 as it hasn't seen much action in a while! Pleased with the results albeit not the most exotic of birds! Really hoping the air tattoo is happening this year.

Man did anyone catch the total meltdown online by the owner of canonrumors? He completely tossed a bunch of content creators under the bus on Twitter, including Gerald Undone, and then posted on canon rumors that he was finished running the site.

What I really want coming in closer though are the red kites which just drift across and seem totally disinterested in whatever I offer them.

I love mine too, the only time it comes off the A9 is if I'm putting the 1.4 on as well!

No dog in the fight, sold all my canon dogs ;)
I did watch Ger Undone once. Liked him/his approach. But so limited data up here in the sticks I don't get to watch
youtubes hardly anymore. I get 30 min's internet in the morning, 30 min's at night.

...........and I can't remember taking the 1.4 off the 200600. Here at the house the light is so crappy 1.4 doesn't matter. I did add
another 1.4 for the new lens.

A couple friends and I were in Nashville recently to see a concert...that got postponed 24 hours before the show...sucks for me...really sucks for them coming from California...but we had fun in town anyway. We hit up some breweries, and Printers Alley...the lights were fun to play with.
