Other than the first few days my A1 has not had any lens on it other than my 200-600.

Man did anyone catch the total meltdown online by the owner of canonrumors? He completely tossed a bunch of content creators under the bus on Twitter, including Gerald Undone, and then posted on canon rumors that he was finished running the site.

What happened? Why? Lol

What about the Kite center in Wales (Anglessy? Maybe?).
What do they do?

Oh there are a couple of kite feeding centres just over an hours drive from me but that is kinda like cheating almost. I went to one of them and there were upwards of 200 birds at feeding time so it wasn't difficult to get photos but it was ultimately unsatisfying. Fine if you're desperate to get some shots of something you haven't seen before but we have kites here at home, there were 8 or 10 soaring around over the fields adjacent to us yesterday, and I'd really like to get them coming down for food and photo ops myself. It can be done, just got to keep trying.

Yesterday at home, big crop, crap light and sky.

A few months back I bought a label maker to help me organize my life and yesterday I finally got around to labeling my camera/lens cabinet. Thing is I want/need to sell my CV 12mm. Rather than make a label for a lens I plan to sell, I thought I'd go ahead and make the label for a lens that I plan to buy. ;)

Everytime I think I want a cabinet like that, I realize that my gear spends more time in the bag since I am out shooting...it would spend so little time organized in a cabinet.

Way to flex your photographic productive awesomeness Travis! That is fantastic. :) Admittedly my last two years have been super slow coping with a pandemic and a home renovation. My plan is be more photographically active and productive as Spring gets underway.

BTW: I always empty my bags after a shoot and I’ve made these lenses super quick/easy to deploy for my specific outing needs. I usually only head out with just 2-4 lenses at a time, so I like keeping the left-behinds in the cabinet.

I love mine too, the only time it comes off the A9 is if I'm putting the 1.4 on as well!

would love to have the R3 with this lens on it full time, but he financial controller would have a fit lol

I managed to get a real nice one second hand for a good price. I was using the Tamron 150-600 canon mount adapted and there is just no comparison. Focus is so fast and sharp

Nice set of lenses you have there David.

Thanks Jose! They need to get used a lot more though. Hoping to remedy that this year. Only got one lens giving me some gas: 50GM. No hurries though. :)
