Thanks. I was torn at first on the composition because I shot it two ways, which is rare on its own. But I liked the vertical format a bit more, it let me incorporate the subtle curves at the bottom.

Great use of lighting. The shadows really make this one stand out and add a lot to the composition.

Nothing but clear skies this morning, but I tried to make the most of my outing.

I just bought the tracker and the laser. I've shot 4 minutes at 50mm before. You will need an extra ballhead or wedge but I didn't buy that from MSM.

Eeek, I misjudged the situation. Spoke to the boss last night, and just placed an order for the MSM with laser pointer and Z wedge. Very excited!!

So, as I mentioned before, we are recently back from a week in the Alps. A 'lot' of time, money and effort went into the planning - and pleased to say it was worth it, and the kids love skiing, which was the primary goal - so success!

Our chalet was amazing, old school, wood everywhere, and amazing details etc. My first look out of our bedroom window I was presented with the most amazing view and sunset over the mountains. Before I left I was already clear what I was taking, the 35mm for chalet shots, and the 24-105 for slope shots, (after going a couple of years ago and determining the 16-35 was too wide really for action shots). My mate has the A7c and he wanted me to bring the 85mm as he i thinking of getting one, so I bought that too. So I grabbed the 16-35 and started to tweak the settings for the sunset shot, and thought - that's weird, the 24-105 doesn't go down to f2.8!! Immediate realisation that due to the similar size and appearance, I'd packed the 16-35 and not the 24-105! Couldn't believe it, I double check pretty much everything so very unlike me too! Still, luckily I had the 85 and made do with that and others throughout the week. I'll share my favourite action shots first, and follow up with the others after. The ones of me on the board are taken by my other mates R5, but I reckon I'm good to share them here, as my sony is in the shot - in my backpack!!

Nice! Looks like a good time was had by all!

I sort of get that trouble with the 20G, 35GM and FE85 all being a similar size, weight and style. Luckily I've not made a mistake yet though!

I previously took the 135GM on a campervan trip thinking I had packed the 16-35. Absolute face palm moment when I pulled it out to shoot my first landscape of the trip. I feel your pain :-P
