Thoughts and prayers for your family and yourself, Travis. Hope things improve on all counts.

Thanks Bill.

Photography is a refuge and a release. The great thing is it will be there when you get through what ever life has you facing. Take those precious moments with those you love. They are worth more than anything else. Coming up on a year since I lost my friend and really brother in life. I would take 5 minutes with him over all the photos we took even though it was intertwined. Prayers for you and we all send you support your a part of our family posting or not.

It is a refuge, but it has not been one that I have had any desire for lately.

I wish you the best. Sometimes life gets to us... I hope things turn around soon.

Thanks.

hang in there. hope things get better for you and your family.

I hope so too...it is getting a bit old at the moment.

Eddie wrote in post #19396063 (external link)
Sorry to hear about all of that Travis, hope you are doing ok

Me...I am doing the best I can...might as well be a single parent right now, and school starts again in about 2 weeks, so that will just ramp it all up.

You concentrate on your priorities Travis (which I know you will anyway!) and we'll be here for you when you need us or want to pop in :-)

Thanks Lee. I have been enjoying your drone work...I have actually flown the drone quite a bit in all of this, but just because it was there, nothing terribly interesting.

Sending prayers for your Dad and Wife's full recovery. :(

Thanks.

I’m really sorry and pained to read about all you’re going through right now, Travis, and sincerely hope and wish you and your family’s well-being. I too am sick with sorrow regarding my mom’s health. I’m losing her - she is mostly gone - to alzheimers. It is awful.

David, I am really sorry to hear that, having expere3ienced Alzheimer's and Dementia with my grandparents, it is awful and cruel.

way behind in popping in to say hi, and thanks for the words of encouragement from yall...we are still battling, new stuff almost every week...it gets pretty frustrating after so long at this, we got through so much last year to be set back so far it just makes it hard to keep at it. And my dad had another setback this week and is starting to suffer from some depression as a result of all of his health issues. It has all been so oppressing that I have had zero motivation to even get my camera out of the bag. I have a couple of trips booked, Petit LeMans in October, the Smokies in October and November, that should be some serious mental relief...I am going to the Tetons on January followed hopefully by Daytona 24 Hours in January also. Just hoping all of that can stay on the calendar.

I did take a few photos this past weekend, just trying to make myself do something. Just working on the car and taking a few snaps.

Sunset tonight at Mangawhai Surf Beach. Playing with long exposures with Nisi 10 stop filter. These were both shot just a few minutes apart. First one is facing west and the second is facing east.

First shot just over 2 minutes and 2nd shot just over 3 minutes.

Got to see a sea turtle release this morning. I only had a 70-200 on me, but tried to make the most of it. I've been wanting to see the baby turtles since I moved here, so it was a nice moment.
