[QUOTE=TRhoads;19465116]I don't think that shot sucks...for what it is worth. I like it.

I think you are in more of the vicinity that he was. And more interesting is the location of the sun, what time of year was that. For us, the sun was setting out of the frame to the left of your image...so a huge difference.[/QUOTE

August..... I totally am forgetting light angles and time.

Really need to get my act together. So far no job so I should just be out taking pics. I want to drive up to colorado get shots of snow then follow it down the river thru the lake and out into the farms down by Yuma AZ..... sorta path of water type of project.

One image I have been wanting, for a specific location in my house, is a wide image of aspen trunks. For now, this one will be the one I probably print and put up over the fireplace. It is the only one I have like it, and until I can do better, I will settle for this one.

I titled it All Eyes On Me...

When I think about the kind of images I want to display on my walls as art this is the stuff. I love it Travis and I wish I could put it one right over my fireplace.

It could be made possible...that is a mighty nice thing of you to say...I will let you know how it looks once I get it printed and on the wall over my fireplace.

Why The Long Face...
That dad joke was muttered more than once while we spent some time photographing the horses that winter on the Triangle X Ranch. Yeah, you probably were not expecting to see photographs of horses from this trip...but here we are, and this won't be the last, but it is my favorite. Not just because it was after I got out of the area where the horses were so that my heart rate would go down. A little backstory, I have a fear of horses, a few bad experiences have left me as a 46 year old that gets really nervous and uncomfortable around horses. They are very intimidating to me. I didn't ride one...that would take a whole lot more than just being near them.

I have never photographed a horse. So I got to do something completely new to me, and I enjoyed it, for the most part.

Thanks. I was going for something a little rich in tone that goes along with the way I edit landscapes.

working on images back to back from the A1 compared to the a9...the resolution is so nice and the sharpness is just that much better...still working through all of the timelapse footage. I messed up the first two, I forgot to switch to MF...

ANTICIPATION!!!!! :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I think I am going to do most of the timelapse as one video for the trip and skip the whole usually way I do a video...I am going to do a dedicated video for the barns though.

More mountains, from the same overlook. Being with a group, I didn't get to really decide where to shoot from. This overlook is a great place to shoot from, with good foregrounds, I would have liked to mix it up a bit though.

Looks like a great trip Travis :) Well deserved :)

EDIT - I've not posted any images in here because I've been catching up on my film stuff!!

SO..... With inspiration from some [mainly] medium format film guys I watch & follow, I've decided to start on a new little project for several reasons really.

I think it's going to be "The Village Square"

Right now, I'm pretty enthusiastic and the eventual plan is a photo book. Even if it's just one copy for myself!!

I really like this image, OOF foreground elements used to frame the subject. I need to remember that tool more often when I am out shooting...I did some of that on my trip, but not enough. There was a Tamron Lens employee on the trip with us and she was doing a lot of that and we discussed that tool...

It has been almost 5 months since my last video upload on my channel. But this week I wrapped up a new video that is 100% timelapse, all captured while I was in the Tetons the first week of 2023. It was so nice to be back out in the field. Enjoy!
