It has been almost 5 months since my last video upload on my channel. But this week I wrapped up a new video that is 100% timelapse, all captured while I was in the Tetons the first week of 2023. It was so nice to be back out in the field. Enjoy!

Nice Travis. Some great conditions witnessed & captured there!

I really like this image, OOF foreground elements used to frame the subject. I need to remember that tool more often when I am out shooting...I did some of that on my trip, but not enough. There was a Tamron Lens employee on the trip with us and she was doing a lot of that and we discussed that tool...

Cheers Travis. I have always shot like that really, not so much lately though.

I'm really looking for scenes & light with this project - I don't like calling it a project....... Theme? Subject matter? .... anyway..... I'm not going to be overly fussy about things. More of as-it-is images :)

I used to do that more often, and depending on what I am doing I still do...but I rarely do it with landscape work, and I need to remember to more often. You shoot a lot of wide aperture shallow DoF already when it comes to landscapes...so I am sure you do this a lot.

Mighty kind of you, thanks. I wish the Slider had been working, but it broke on day 1 and I fubared both sequences I shot using it prior to the break...It is more dynamic with the added motion, but I had to make do. Thanks for checking it out.

Anyone here had direct experience with the a9 (I or II) and the a7rV?

Anyone using the A7RV?

I still have the first gen a9 and pulled it out this week. I have taken many wonderful images with it from birds to wildlife to grandkids sports. I don't shoot it often anymore but did pull it out this week and shot with the non-native Tamron 150-500.

Hi Bill, thanks for responding. I’ve just realised I wasn’t as clear as I should have been in my original question. I currently use the a9ii for AF and the a7riii for resolution and have been wondering if the a7rV might be able to do both for me (A1 price is out of my range). I appreciate the a9ii will still likely have the better AF but would be keen to hear from anyone that’s used the A9 and the a7rV to see how close they actually are. I don’t shoot wildlife or sports but I find the a9ii AF ideal for fast moving kids doing kid stuff

Finally got out to take some photos after several months. I really enjoyed being out and will be trying hard to "get out there" more going forward.
