A new version of an image I shot about 4 years ago...caught both north and southbound trains on this one. That fills in the dark void in the middle.

Great shot Travis, nicely timed. I bet you were urging the train along quicker to complete the light trail before the shutter closed!?!?

I actually shot night skies here on the Friday night. Went back Saturday sunrise & right on sunrise we just got fogged in. So tried again on the Sunday morning!!

Thanks Travis. I did have to wait a while for it! The foreground light is actually painted in from a later exposure but the majority of the shot is single image.

Well it looks great, no matter how you did it.

I would be ok if they were even shorter...I don't mind the cold when I want the snow...but we had such a nasty January this year...40 and raining the whole month...

Ugh I feel so stupid

Edit/Update ..... well I emailed Lenscoat on the chance they would send a section. They responded in an hour. stated they normally do not but could for me in this case for 18 bucks!!!!

That is nice of them.

I had an issue with the linear Genie motor that makes my slider work while I was in the Tetons...the little 3.5mm headphone jack separated inside the unit. Which meant it could not be plugged in...and because Sony does not let you control the camera via USB-C...I couldn't use the slider...I contacted Syrp about it, they were fairly timely with responses, but then just kinda stopped communicating after I provided receipts, date of purchase etc...maybe a week went by. I gave up on them, ordered a new unit, and decided to take the old one apart to find out why it broke...that night they said they would replace it free of charge...mind you this thing is $800...but I had taken it apart and now can't do a replacement...I just wish they had been a little faster to respond, because then I would have saved myself $800...on the plus side I know why it broke and now I know to be extra careful with that port.

Hoping to get out this weekend and do a night to day timelapse for sunrise...
