Does anyone ever use the cameras creative styles? In all the years using Sony it’s not something I’ve ever thought of doing until the other day. Previously black and white conversions were an afterthought when processing and I didn’t really shoot for them but I realised I could set the creative style to black and white and then shoot whilst seeing the black and white view in the viewfinder. The good thing is when imported to lightroom the black and white setting is auto applied to the raw too. Seems an obvious way to do this now that I’ve thought of it but it never occurred to me previously

I used it when I started that B&W long exposure project thing. Which lasted about half a dozen images......

Never aside from that though.

As I recall.....and i am old and forgetful the sigma mc11 adapter was the best overall then meta then the rest

The MC11 is one that I had been looking at and it seems it’ll work fine for my Sigma lens but not for my Canon lenses.

That also might be an alternative, buy the Sigma adapter for the Sigma lens and look into the best adapter for the Canon lenses.

Definitely worth looking into, might be cheaper in the long run.

Some how I lost my Camo covered Lens Hood to my 200-600..... WTH how could I have lost something that big!!! and yeah I can replace it for 80 bucks but then I need just the camo neoprane part for the hood which is another 90 bucks

Ugh I feel so stupid

Edit/Update ..... well I emailed Lenscoat on the chance they would send a section. They responded in an hour. stated they normally do not but could for me in this case for 18 bucks!!!!

WOW customer service in this day and age what a concept.

Murphy's law states you will find it after you have ordered the replacements. Trust me, I know.

The MC11 should work with your Canon lens's, there are usually a number on the second hand market and the firmware updates are down loadable from sigma. Most Canon lens's except tele zooms will work OK. Minolta lens's will require an adaptor to work on E mount, but I would stick with your Sigma and Canon. Metabones adaptors are more expensive than the MC11 and I would not purchase anything earlier than the mark 4, the current model is mark 5 with very little advantage on the mark 4. The Canon lens's may seem cheaper but they would be older models than Sony and are a lot more plentiful. Good luck, it's all fun.

They seem like an alternative to Fuji’s film presets. I’ve customized one a bit but haven’t really gone into enough detail with it like I have on my Fuji body.

Thank you for the excellent info. I’ve been leaning toward the MC-11 and I’m gonna give it a try.

I’ve had zero G.A.S for a long time now but this upcoming vacation is getting to me.

I’ve felt I need a tele lens for quite some time now as I only got the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 and I’m very tempted by the Tamron 70-180mm f/2.8! I’m kinda worried there will be a G2 lens soon but I’m still willing to take the risk.

Anyone own this lens and think it’s worth getting it for travel especially?

I have the lens and it works for me on limited occasions of use. I never used a 70-200 much so saw little need to own one so this was a great option to fill that void. From this weekend with the lens. My youngest two grandgirls playing basketball.

Enjoying our new locale and the new house is moving along. Ready to be settled again. The backroads are yielding good results for me.

Thanks for the response and from what I’ve read and see in your photos the AF is really great! I’m also curious how much I’d use it but I’m sure outside of travel it would be great for my cityscapes/landscapes.
