If it helps to share an idea on culling, my process now is to copy all the pics across to my computer, import all into Lightroom, rate all my keepers, filter by rated pics, process, export, mate sure I’ve got everything I expected, then when 100% happy, delete the filtered pics but just remove from LR, then after that, delete all others from disk.
I end up with just raw and JPEG’s of the keepers. Worked well to date.

Ugh, it's what we call Mud Season here in Maine, so I have spent the last week or so inside, trying to cull the last couple of years of my Lightroom library down to a reasonable size to migrate it to my Synology NAS from my local working drive. I got it from almost 9TB down to 3, but I need to get better at culling at the time of import. 30FPS at 50 megapixels adds up very quickly

Anyhow, I have found some gems that got overlooked on the first pass, and now I will have a fresh start next month when the birds start to return.
