Done. Pre-order for the 24-105 is in.
Not that I use that focal length often but it completes yet another triumvirate.

Same, I put my order for the 24-105 and a7rIII in yesterday.

I'm hoping that lens works out well for you fellas, a really popular 24-105 makes it easier for me to get a 24-70 GM :-P

I think I'll wait awhile before upgrading to the ariii. If the new camera offered more resolution, I might have been more tempted to upgrade right away but from my perspective, the new features aren't that important to me. I have to admit that the pixel shift technology sounds intriguing though.

Beyond upgrading the camera, I would also want to purchase at least one additional battery, unless it comes with two to begin with, an external charger unless one comes with the camera, and of course the new high speed memory card.

Disclaimer: I reserve the right to change my mind and buy the camera immediately upon availability if I so choose. ;-)a

I haven't decided yet if I like the idea of the 24-105. It's definitely tempting.

I am toying with the idea of simplifying my gear a lot (I have not been shooting much lately) and going with the easier to travel approach of having 3 zooms:

12-24 or 16-35
24-70 or 24-105
100-400

I'd get rid of most of my primes (which should make it very easy to fund the above 3 lenses).
I'd probably keep the FE 85/1.8 and the Batis 18.

And of course, upgrade the 7R2 to a 7R3.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

I like the idea of simplifying especially with lenses like the 12-24 where you are getting prime like quality. I personally like small good primes and don’t mind the gaps. I’m quite content (at the moment) with a7rii, FE28/55 (general stuff), CV15/lox21/contax 100-300 (landscape), fe 90 macro and still life. Plus my X100F for a carry everywhere family camera. Don’t get me wrong though I still lust after the 12-24, 16-35GM, 24-105 G and contax 35-70, a7riii (a bit less than initially)

Charlie I've no temptation for the 24-70....now the 16-35gm, it's in future plans.
I've decided this A7Rx cycle is not pressing at all, so I'll focus on lenses for the
next year.

Just packed the family camera-RX10iv. Poof just told me to load up we're headed toward Shenandoah.
I asked 'camping in the park', she said maybe or not, just that direction. Kinda of a road trip where the
ultimate destination will be known when we get there :)

Anyone else preordered the iphone x? I was able to successfully order mine last night and so will have it next Friday. I haven't upgraded in 3 years, so I'm really looking forward to this one. :)

totally forgot about it, however I did preorder a case for it :-P

I might as well wait for a bit now, I'm just confused on how or if it's possible to do split screening with apple, me and my baby often share screens on my phone, youtube for her, and POTN/FB for me on the other half of the screen, really nifty feature and I havent figured out how to replicate on my ipad

Beautiful Eriet! The colors are so sublime. I hiked in White Sands many years ago...sadly in the heat of day :( But even then it is a otherworldly experience, nothing like what you've
experienced.

I did! Expensive last two days for me. Got in at 3:10 am, getting the Space Grey 256, on the iPhone SE now and tired of getting the giggles and jeers from my coworkers who laugh at the small phone.
