i think when i tried to initialized yesterday trying to factory reset, it got interrupted. when i woke up this morning. i tested it on and off like 10 times and it's working well and fast. otherwise i won't list it.

Man used market is flooded with a9's and a7rII's.

I'm not in a rush to get the a7rIII so I might sit the first wave of shipments out so I can get a fair price on my stuff.

I’m watching a used a7rii on eBay uk out of curiosity. It’s now at £1700 with 14 hours to go. Same condition as mine (couple of scuffs on the bottom). I really don’t understand it. New ones are £1650 on eBay! (Grey market). I’m almost tempted to sell mine and buy a new one

This is exactly what I was thinking.

I took a look at FM today. Never seen this many 7R2's on sale at once

after I bought my a7sii I sold my 5d3 to help recover .. this was right before 5d4 release .. I took a big hit , don't remember exactly how much but I had less than 6,000 actuations and sold for less than I see 5d3's selling currently ,,with 50,000+ shutter count

Any less than $2k, and I'd keep the a7rII TBH. Used market may price the a7rII at $1,800, but the 6DII is $2k.. a7rII blows the 6DII out of the water and I'm not selling it for less than a 6DII price lol

Yeah timing definitely matters when buying/selling gear

Id probably be quite happy at say £1800 meaning a 600 loss over 2+ years of ownership. I just am surprised that the one I’m watching has went so high

$2k is around £1500 . I would not sell for that low either

Here's a lighting test I did this morning of a bottle of Michelob Amberbock Beer. Essentially, I placed a window frame holding tracing paper in front of each strip box, one at a time since I only have one frame at the moment. Then in PS, I merged the right and left halves to give me a softer edge light. I also spritzed some water + glycerin on the bottle to enhance the sense of cold.

I'm not totally happy with the lighting but it was a good learning experience anyway. I have some pullback stuff I may show later.

SAR was way off. All the talk was pointing to an a7III...and then a7sIII.
