the Precision Camera with Pro Support discount charged me 246 for the 85GM. They said they need to replace the aperture motor or something. :(

there are enough complaints about photography being too far from reality already, and that the creative aspect is being lost...the Arsenal thing seems to be making that argument ever stronger...if I understand it correctly from looking at the Kickstarter and the rest I have read about it...it does all the work for you, basically tells you how to shoot a scene and does most of the work or at least tell the person behind the camera how to do it...I am not a fan...I think it makes it too automatic...just my two pesos...

I get where you're coming from, but really, all I want is something that will handle focus stacking for me, so I can rip off shots in quick succession as the light is rapidly changing. I don't need anything to tell my how to compose my shots, what aperture to use, what shutter speed to use, etc. I've got a pretty good handle on all of that.

However, because the Sony bodies don't communicate focus steps the way Nikon and Canon do there is no tethering software that allows manual focus control (through the software) for Sony cameras. Meanwhile, Sony has the worst remote software I've every used. If this could work as a full on camera remote, allowing me to shoot and control the camera wirelessly, while also allowing for focus control/stacking, it'd be worthwhile to me, and cheaper than upgrading to the A7RIII, which is expected to have that level of control native to the body.

even then...that is taking some of the work, and need for user knowledge and skill out...SR has been fun for a while...but for LE I have all but stopped using it. Getting back to traditional workflow, just because I get more out of it...I will still use it for interior architecture, because I see that as a place where it really makes sense, especially after I have been editing the last few nights working on multiple frames to blend into one image...but overall, I want to be the one to make the decisions...not be influenced by AI and the way everyone else does it...

Who says all those other AI tools need to be used? My cameras have an auto mode, but I don't use it. Nobody denigrates the use of modern cameras because they have automatic modes. You simply choose not to use them, while taking advantage of all the other things the camera has to offer.

One from out trip out to the tidepools yesterday.

It's funny. There is one area here that is well known and every time I'm out there there's a group of photographers all stacked on top of each other, each with their camera about waist high aiming down at this flat area. Why they don't look for something else to shoot is beyond me. I walk a few feet away, drop into a gap in the reef and end up with this.

I agree. I understand wanting to take your turn at doing something that has been shot a million times but it’s more fun to look around and get another perspective. You can probably go find their shots in a hundred places but yours will be unique. Great job!

I think so too after i posted i felt like it’s more on the yellow side.

A combo of careful healing, cloning gradually at 20% flow or 10%, then clean it with dodge and burn.
