I actually like this shot of the watch better I think even though it doesn't 'display' it as well.

(I also decided to refine my edit)

A cleaner edit from last night's sunset. Better composition and crop.

Sigma 35/1.4 Art.

Engagement Session in NYC! How in the world did we find an empty street at Times Square?! Pretty lucky for my first time being there.

Vinz, I carried the 12-24mm down into that pit too. It took my toes an hour to warm up even after the climb back out.

I have to confess that many here are more passionate and committed to photography than me. I wish it weren’t so, but I’m a wimp. Pain avoidance kicks in and I don’t make it to cool places like this. Nice shots Robert...really like those with the 24-105mm.

David, is this the one you have?

That looks good Alfredo. Then you’ll download the LR plugin that lets you convert a dng into a profile.

Your colors always look great to my eyes, but this will give you peace of mind knowing that your colors are objectively correct.

Top one. More contrast and more color detail in the awesome sky.

Thanks David! I'll order it and give it a try. I use a grey card in the field which helps but it will be nice to have a more accurate color profile as a default setting.

---------------

I finished the UTSA Conference Center images. Here is the link if anyone is interested. All shot with the excellent FE 16-35 GM. There were two shots of a conference with strong bluish light from the large windows which were a real pain. I tried to strike a balance between the blue color cast and not totally desaturating it. By the way, a good way to remove color cast from an architecture image is to use Nik Color Efex's White Neutralizer filter. You can select the color cast in an area and it will help neutralize it. I did that for the ceilings a lot to correct the warm reflective light from the desks.

Wow thank you David. That means a lot to me coming from an architect and excellent photographer. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

A genius idea from Mark Galer is to use a custom Creative Style to get a more usuable histogram on the camera. The camera’s histogram is based on the jpeg thumbnail, not the raw file, so he sets his creative style’s contrast setting to -3, so the blinkies don’t start too prematurely. I’m going to give it a try.

Super sharpness/clarity. It is the 24-70 we always wanted.
