more from Joshua Tree...this time 10 Stop ND for 1/3 of second and SR app for 128 frames. I was testing it to see how it handled minor movement in the tree, and it did surprisingly well. Don't ask me how, I am not smart enough to know how it does it.

Early Xmas present for myself.

This is every single piece of gear I own except the FE 100-400GM. (photo taken w. iPhone).
It all fits very nicely.

From top to bottom, left to right:

A7rii body, CV 15, Sigma Art 35 w. Metabones, Batis 25, FE 85/1.8, FE 70-200/4, Filter pouch, misc., Batis 18, FE 55/1.8, FE 24-70/4, FE 90 Macro, Dust Blower
The FE 100-400 gets its own pouch (the one it came in, which is very nice!). I could probably make it fit if I rearranged things and got rid of a couple of lenses.

This is the Pelican Air 1555, btw.

Excellent choice! We have two of them.

portable or desktop?

there are so many options to choose from. you just opened a can of worms for your audio needs :P

i have the schiit stack. (their company name is an interesting story if you got a little time to read)
you said you need an amp, but i highly recommend a dac as well.
http://www.schiit.com/products/magni-3 (external link)
http://www.schiit.com/products/modi-2 (external link)
I actually have the magni 2 uber and modi 2 uber. magni 3 just came out. you will need a small rca cable to connect the two together. i would not recomend their pyst cable, they are heavy and will cause your top stack to sag back.

if i was to do it over again id get this with the dac option that adds an additional 100$.
http://www.schiit.com/products/jotunheim (external link)

as for portability I have the fiio x7. it works fairly well with some bugs and hiccups. you may need an additional amp if your headphone requires the need.
https://www.amazon.com …8&sr=8-2&keywords=fiio+x7 (external link)
https://www.amazon.com …8&sr=8-6&keywords=fiio+x7 (external link)

to save some money, you may just want this and buy the amp seperate. the other one comes with the lower power amp that will be good for iems and such. my headphone seems to work fine with that already installed amp though. still i got the higher amp for the extra power.
https://www.amazon.com …8&sr=8-4&keywords=fiio+x7 (external link)

these are just what I have. the fiio x7 can also be used as a portable dac for your desktop. i tried it once and i find the audio sync to be delayed when watching video. that was just once on a win 10 desktop. i can try it on my surface 3 pro if you're interested in knowing.

to my ears, the fiio x7 sounds a little better because they have a better dac. the schiit devices work well as my desktop setup. i also have it hooked up to my a/v receiver to use with speakers and it sounds amazing.

there is a new version of the fiio x7 which consist of dual dac and such. but that costs about $650 which was the price I paid for when i got the first x7.

now onto loseless audio :P you need to start ripping your cds into flac if you havn't already.

if you sign up with hdtracks.com you can dl some sample album/tracks.

I see you already started a schiit load of jokes...

I like the DragonFly Red. I have B&W P7 Wireless and B&W P9's. The P9's sound great through the DragonFly. And you can use it with a camera adapter from an iPhone.

I have the Magni/Modi stack but never use it. I also used to use a NuForce Icon.

I'm gonna post a couple more from the meet this weekend.

So.....Swimming is not the most exciting sport to shoot. There are only 4 strokes. The easiest stroke to get compelling shots is the butterfly. And while I've seen lots of great shots of the other strokes, they don't typically lend themselves to exciting photographs. Freestyle is particularly difficult to come away with anything that I might look at more than once. I was happy with this one that I just kinda snapped cause I was somewhat close and at the right angle. Again, the a6500 nailed it without any issue. If this camera had a joystick for changing AF points it would make things SOOOOOOOO much easier! Regardless, I LOVE the tiny size of this camera and the results it produces.

All shots taken with the cheapo $200 E 50/1.8.

Sofia swimming freestyle.

I will have to dig into that...mostly for portable...

For home, I am lining up the parts to build a good audio setup at home that has a tube amp as the starting point...my buddy in SF has a killer setup in his studio, former DJ and lifelong musician...and I really love staying at his place and just chilling to music...he has the best AirBnB that is free for me when I come to town!

What is the yellow cubbie system you are using? Looks good and protective.

You can order the pelican cases with these dividers as an option.
