I've been quite happy with this: https://www.amazon.com …=8-1&keywords=ibasso+dx90 (external link)

It's a audio player as well as a DAC. I use it with Grado 225's.

The IBasso works great with RockBox as well.

School Christmas concert this year was much easier to shoot with the a99ii as opposed to the a7r last year.

The eye focus did a nice job in challenging lighting, even if the metering was off quite a bit as I didn't want to use flash and distract the kids.

Had my physical a few weeks ago. 30% hearing loss, so good headphones would just be a waste of money.

With my Phonak hearing aids, ComPilot Air II, and the Phonak TV Link, I can connect via Bluetooth to any audio source that has a headphone jack and hear the audio through my hearing aids. Not the best bass in the world and no audiophile would rate them highly but I can't beat the comfort or convenience. The hearing aids are designed to improve the sound quality of speech, not big bands but other than the extremely short range between the ComPilot and the aids, I have no complaints. The range between the ComPilot Air and the TV link allows me to wander around my house and even sit on my patio and not miss a note or any dialog. If I should get a phone call while listening to TV, I hear the ring through the ComPilot and can answer the phone through it and have the phone conversation over my hearing aids. When I 'hang up', the audio channel resumes.

I am fortunate that these devices were provided to me by the VA.

Unfortunately one of my wife’s younger sisters lost her battle with cancer over the Thanksgiving Holidays. While there, and driving to another relative’s home, I stopped on the roadside and snapped this with my old Sony RX10 ver.1.

So if anyone is interested in seeing a comparison of editing programs, check this out. Warning! It's a long detailed read. Bottom line is that DXO and Capture 11 look excellent.

Starting to see why Carlo called it a rabbit hole.

When you have been a rabbit for as long as I have, you will learn you can have high end music on a beer budget .. :-)

Before the internet there was an underground newsletter that mostly dealers new about that sold trades in's of high end equipment . Those rabbits chasing the holy grail of sound would trade in, and then buy the latest and greatest.

Thanks for the link - its an interesting read.

I checked out DXO and their website indicates 02/18 before the A7R3 is fully supported.

If I wanted to ditch Adobe, I'd go with C1. But I don't. I get plenty of value out of my Adobe CC subscription.

That said, DXO PL is outstanding as a supplement to my LR and PS licenses...very very pleased with it.

The CV 15mm is not a big difference from the CV 12mm (FOV), but I think my sensitivity to framing is greater at wider focal lengths, so I am reasonably happy with the addition...

Same here David. I’m not looking to replace my LR and PS combo. I will be adding DXO PhotoLab to supplement them as you did. Excellent image btw. The new lens looks great.
