Nice pics everyone. Received my first ever Zeiss Lens today for my A7R3, the Batis 85 1.8. Nice and small, a perfect mate to the body.

I was looking forward to the led display but find it only works in manual focus.

Also read above of losses in families. My sympathies.

Good to edit a black and white image for a change. I edited the original in DxO PhotoLab, did the conversion in Nik Silver Efex, applied some dodging and burning in PS, and adjusted the contrast.

Awesome! Thought of MC Escher when first seeing. Very intricate.

Thank you Daniel. That's exactly what I had in mind and why I framed it like I did.

University of Incarnate Word Student Union. This wasn't for any client. I just thought the interior was so clean, especially the ceiling. I couldn't take down the wreaths so looking at this image outside the month of December will seem odd but oh well. I have another shot looking out over that glass wall. I'll work on that tomorrow.

Very cool interior well captured Alfredo!
I’ve been meaning to try to do some architectural captures on campuses.

Thank you very much! Yeah that’s a good idea. The lighting is usually nice in these buildings on campus.

Btw, your last two shots of your neighbors house were excellent.

I too am looking forward to using the camera. Thus far I’ve only taken test pics indoors of my dogs.

And I meant to mention while it is technically my first Zeiss Lens, way, way back before many here were born, circa 1980, when B&H was a rather new entity in a smaller store in the west 20’s, I purchased Zeiss binoculars, 10x40 BGA, rubber armor coated for then then princely sum of $500. When I brought them home and showed my wife and told her how much they cost, she was like, $500 for binoculars? I assured her they would last a long time.

Fast forward through dozens of concerts, plays, and sporting events, and they are almost as good as new. Truly amazing after almost 38 years. I don’t think I own anything as old.

Another SR app image...I can't remember if it was 128 or 192...it was one of those, I think it was the 192...the base exposures were shorter for this one.

one trick to keep everyone's eyes open is let them all close their eyes have them open in 3 counts,
