Raya Pro 3 update is out there for anyone that has it...I am still going through some of the videos and learning the new stuff...but I went back to some of the originals to re-familiarize myself with them...since I will likely start doing more blending again this year...

At which I was confronted with something quite troubling...I had not watched the original Mastering Raya Pro series in a long time. I bought it in January of 2016. So I saw a couple images that I knew I had seen much more recently than January 2016. I knew it was on Flickr and it was someone that posts here in the Sony Lounge...and I know this is not going to be a popular post...but I don't agree with theft of images one bit...and I think we have covered that before...to have someone that participates in this group feel compelled to steal images from tutorials and then use them as their own...its a huge problem for me...I love that some of the famous photographers are willing to provide images to follow along with in their tutorials, it makes it easy to follow along...but they are explicit in stating that you should not use them for your own good...

You be the judge...same images...different edits...claimed as their own...

there is just no place for this here IMO...

Ban me if this is against the forum rules...I don't want to be a part of a forum that allows people to participate if this is what they feel is ok...

Wow! Good spot. That’s nuts. I recognise the name, do they post in the Sony thread?

Wow, I think Throads has jupmed to conclusions. I have purchased many tutorials over the years, and they tell you they are giving you the files.
You get the raw files, and you do what you learn from the tutorial, and you put your subjective edit on it. .. . Keyword sell and you purchase, not steal.

I certainly have not intentionally stole someone's image. I would never do that. I even participate in some contests here, and I supply my own raw files for everyone to participate. I certainly would not supply a file, I did not want someone to have, they are free to do with it as they wish. Actually I would take it as a compliment if they used it.

I do not earn a living from photography, for me its a hobby I enjoy.
I am actually retired.

Additionally if I felt as throads felt, I would of PM him directly...
To get his position, instead of jumping to conclusions.

If I was misinterpreting the terms, then I stand corrected.

Except that you have marked them as copyright by you...the files are provided so you can follow along during the tutorial...not for editing, and then taking credit for them...nowhere did you mention they belong to someone else...I think you are off base for what they are there for, most instructors are very specific about you NOT using the files for anything other than the tutorial...whether you make any money from it or not...you posted them and claimed them as your own...

Man, I miss a day of keeping up and miss a war. OK I'm neutral and won't read back to see what's going on BUT
I will post up images of the latest packaging Adorama has deployed thanks to the powerful Helen Oster! I for
one Helen do appreciate it and very much! Maybe the protection is psychological but my good feeling opening the
package just means when I purchase again Adorama gets the first nod.
So woohoo to top and bottom padding!

p.s. got a PM that I'd misspelled Helen's name :( Sorry Helen, corrected (I hope).

Speaking of packaging, hats off to the Little Laowa, very Zeiss like packaging. Between
Adorma's latest efforts and Laowa's efforts I'm a happy recipient.

Yeah despite my initial lens from Laowa having to be returned I was really impressed with the packaging, especially the vacuum packing (second lens was totally fine)

Look at all that chromatic aberration all over the box! If that were a Zeiss box with T* coating, it would be perfectly white. :p

Seriously: congrats on your cool new lens. :)

Haha you kill me David! Hilarious. Just know I used my little flash setup so that's a contributing factor ;)
Personally I kinda like the colorful box.

It's snowed about a foot here over the past day. So I'm just playing around with the new camera and seeing how the files look and what it is like to shoot with.

Winter is not a favorite photography time for me, so I just poke around.
