Not the red pin the little black piece that slides back and forth that holds the plate (the red button moves it). As to using it horizontally, in the marketing video it goes on about how it can be used as a tripod head. Which is why the pro version has a thread in the bottom

Sorry just realised you were talking about the v2. I have a v3 and it doesn’t have a red pin so was confused for a sec there but realised we are talking about different things

I believe the photographer you refer to is Stephen Wilkes...http://www.stephenwilkes.com …a8-4dcf-aade-19f6ac110004 (external link)

and yes, it takes a ton of time and commitment...and probably more photoshop talent than I have...but it hasn't stopped me from wanting to do one and make it my own...

totally agree - this is what is so good with our craft we can build on what others have done and still be original - always something to learn and to create and have that personalized take, more power to ya!!

It's an interesting concept, visually I'm not to certain of the shots tha have the night to day transitions in the sky, looks odd to me. I prefer the sky to ground night to day transitions.

Was shooting the R3 + flashpoint/godox remote trigger TTL + HSS, and the camera behaved like total crap.

autoplayback slow, and burst not possible.

No issues with on shoe flash + TTL.

Anyone know what's going on? Other than that, SOOC CV 35 + TAP looks pretty darn good.

Sony's hotshoe is the worst. Super fragile and you need to make sure it's inserted well otherwise misfires, incorrect TTL, etc etc etc happen.

Currently enjoying a short break with the family, managed to spend a few minutes with the camera too. Although I do need to push myself to head out for a few more dedicated shoots. Anyway here are a couple from today

Try turning off EFCS when using strobe. this issue of misfires were acknowledge by godox and should be addressed with a firmware update. with the EFCS off solves the misfires issue though.

With the R3, I dont ever use EFCS anymore, it's either full shutter or silent (too fiddly to remember change all the shutter modes).

I think it was a connection issue, I cant seem to replicate the issue today with the exact same settings.
