Sunset at Lake Elmendorf in SATX. Our Lady of the Lake University is on the left.

Absolutely gorgeous Alfredo. The light conditions are magic and your framing excellent.

_______________

GAS Alert: As soon as BH has the CV 40mm 1.2 back in stock, I'm ordering. Going to mess things up for me, but I got to give it a try.

_______________

Hate to follow up Alfredo's brilliant photo with this urban-decay image, but I'm developing a C1 workflow. I'm loving the software. And if there's anything I like in LR that's not in C1 (like range masks), I can just jump to PS and use the ACR filter. Best of all editing worlds.

QUOTED IMAGE

Thanks David! That park area around the lake has been renovated. I’m happy to have found a nice small lake around town.

That CV40 looks great. Perfect focal range too. I can’t wait to see your images.

Your urban decay image looks great. Does DXO work with C1?

3 exposures blended using Raya 3.

Does it look natural?

Thanks. Assuming you’re referring to DXO Optics Pro, I don’t think C1 works with external apps as conveniently as LR does. The way you can jump files from LR to DXO or Photomatix or Autopano Giga is a nice advantage for LR.

Yes, very clean, very natural. Looks good. Were your three exposures 1 or 2 EV apart?

This is just my opinion Vinz but if this were my image, I'd probably lower the exposure a bit, then open the shadows some, and finally warm the tone slightly.

Maybe like this.

Thank you. I actually did 9 at 1EV and chose 3 to be used for blending. I will try 3 exposures only next time with maybe 3EV.

Thanks Gene.

I'm practicing for RE photography and based on the discussions among other RE photographers, clients prefer a more brighter exposures.

I absolutely agree. The ceiling’s got to be bright and white. Only thing I’d change from your edit is lift the tones on the dresser/TV just a wee bit...Gene’s tones on the dresser look good to me.

yah they even suggested to brightened that up more. But you're right about warming it up a bit.

GAS Alert: As soon as BH has the CV 40mm 1.2 back in stock, I'm ordering. Going to mess things up for me, but I got to give it a try.

Need to revise my previous statement to something a bit less rash. How about: I have decided to purchase a CV 40mm 1.2 and am planning to do so as soon as possible.

No pressing reason to hurry the purchase since the lens, super-cool as it may be, is not an actual need. :)
