I’ve stuck with Canon ink for my 100s after getting two Epson’s irredeemably clogged up using third party CIS ink. However note that the head on the Pixma can be popped out and soaked overnight and if necessary replaced for probably less than 100 bucks.

Jamie, double thanks :)
On the printer, well I don't own one and noted the Pixma Pro-100 can be had post mail in rebate for $149 at Adorama. I was just trying to get an idea of what the in-use costs are...never mind the paper. So far everything I've printed is via Adorama's printing service (metal all the way) and we love the outcome. So I'm studying.

I had a couple of shirts done, leading up to being the official photog and a sponsor for a charity run at my kids school next weekend...and decided to shoot the stuff too, for the portfolio of the friend that is doing the design work. the 85 GM was not used...but it makes an appearance...:-D

guys 2 questions

1) I remember there was a discussion in some thread where given a certain set of setngs the a7r3 will only focus on first frame and succeeding frames will not be in focus - I can't find that discussion

2) can someone chime in on the a7r3 and how sticky it's lock on af is in their experience. I tried shooting a marathon with lock on af but whenever that af point gets onto a intervening subject it will lose focus. I already set my af-c to AF priority (I moved it from balance emphasis). I must be doing something wrong. oh also I have tracking set to 1 (locked on)

Thanks!!

ah found the first one

. Electronic shutter mode. At apertures smaller than F11 (F-numbers higher than F11), focus will not track the subject and focus points will be fixed on the first frame. Display updating will be slower at slow shutter speeds.

Logo, cards, and shirts look great Travis. Did you design the logo? Wishing you all the best on your business venture. I would love to do the same.

Thanks. No, I did not do the design work...I tried.for years to come up with something and failed miserably...my roommate in college and still best friend us a graphic designer. He did the design work.

Only thing that concerns me is that they seem like I be releasing a Canon/Nikon mount as well, which might meant it’s a DSLR design, with unnecessary length added on the end.

Just saw the post on SAR, it looks huge, as expected.

Its not as bad as I thought. I cant remember what I figured but at the 11x17 paper and ink it was under a buck... and I want to say .72

I like it to check how things look printed before I actually send it off or to print for friends and around the house. Quality is amazing tho

My wife agreed to take a few shots in the hills out behind our place yesterday. Although overcast the snow was very bright. I had to use a 0.9ND to keep the SS's down. Lit with Godox V860II full power (barely enough) and another bare TT360s for a little splash of backlight.

I woke up this morning with GAS.

Not for anything in particular but because this looks like a great year for lenses.

I feel like I should sell my CV10 / FE55 / FE 90 now in anticipation.

The reasoning? I am hearing of a Sigma 70 macro 2.8 well that is the 55 and 90 right there in one lens.

And I really think although I love the 10 and think it is amazing I am wanting a faster wide and there are starting to be a lot of options.

I could realistically walk around with the A7r2 and Lox 21 and the A9 with the 100-400GM as that covers almost everything I shoot. Landscape and wildlife.
While I wait for new lenses I have legacy manual lenses in the 55 1.4 / 85 1.8 / 90 macro 2.5 that can fill in the gaps

soooooooo do I start selling now in anticipation?..... What a weird feeling to have GAS with nothing to buy but to be prepared

Wow, it is a beast. Picture shows it having a 105mm filter thread. And I thought the 24-70GM at 82mm and the 85 1.4 at 86mm. But a 105mm filter? That’s like $300 for a single filter.
