Looks like the A73 has better low light performance than the 7R3

https://petapixel.com …ng-low-light-performance/ (external link)

Better low light high iso performance for video, not stills

Hi all, haven't been around in a while. Had a stroke near the end of last year which robbed me of half my sight. Getting my act together a bit now, and couldn't resist a couple of local winter scenes. First snaps in several months.

Yes, thank you Eddie.

My problem was compounded by my remaining sight being partially obscured by cataracts. I have had two cataract operations, and now can see better than Robocop through the unaffected half of my sight.

The last few months have been traumatic, but I'm now absolutely fine apart from the partial blindness.

Well God bless man and looks like you are fighting the good fight and are back out there shooting. Stroke is my
destiny too. Every relative has had one....hemorrhagic. Maybe photography as this stage in your healing process
can be therapeutic-I hope so.

Welcome back. Great to hear your eyesight has improved. I struggle with macular degeneration myself. Fortunately, it has only affected one eye so far.

This new 28-75 Tamron looks promising. The guy explains the reason why they went with 28mm instead of 24mm on the wide end.

Looks solid! For more portrait oriented shooting the focal range, size and max aperture make a lot of sense. I may finally get rid of my 24-70II
