not sure why they jacked up the price, but it was only $32 shipped when I bought it. Maybe shop around a little.

I checked the company's website: https://www.proaim.ca …rpose-stabilizer-rig.html (external link)

out of stock, so maybe you can call and ask.

Oh cool! Yeah I'll grab one eventually. Looks like you can slap a capture clip there too so you can fast mount the cam with an arca Swiss plate.

I have a7r3.

To me with the way this focuses , shooting an event would be frustrating.. with very little keepers ..
Like I said posed would be fine ..
It will focus .. just does a check evem after I get the green confirm
So for a second i think im good but then goes out of focus and refocuses..so I need to wait for the second confirmation beep.(greenlight)

It does this atleast half the time .. unless I go smaller aperture

I use it for weddings. I really love how 85mm looks for first dance type shots. It's money.

But yeah the lens is slow, but it's only slow when making large focus adjustments.....basically if you're swapping subjects a lot. It hasnt been a deal killer for me, but it depends on what you're contending with in the events you shoot. Weddings are pretty slow moving and really predictable.

I definitely wouldn't shoot sports with this lens, and some people use 85's for indoor sports

basically E mount versions of sigma lenses will be quiet for video and work better with AF-C. Some lenses set to release early summer, very nice.

Is the A7RIII not in the sites camera list yet?!? I dont see the point of this system if its always out of date. If you search for photos by camera you will get all sorts as people are forced to choose the nearest one to get the images into their gallery

Eddie, did you ever get a backpack? I ran across this one after watching Adam Gibbs’ latest video. Cheaper than Fstop and Shimoda. Simon Baxter has one too I think.

Great to see but I take that with a grain of salt. I wouldn't expect him to say anything else since he's affiliated with Sony.

I shoot in the ocean pretty regularly. While I don't trust the weather sealing on the A7RII, I will say I've gotten it a fair bit wet on one too many occasions.

Loxia 21 and SR app for this capture. When the light is fading fast, it's nice to have the SR app feature available.

Beautiful.
....and no fiddling with filters/keeping them clean/dropping them. Still miffed at Sony for the loss of apps...embarassing to have such a high end camera and at least an internal intervalometer...just a shame. But there are rumors floating about.

Some Random shots on my way home from work..so yeah like i said the AF..

But i do like the results..i mean genral IQ and rendering is very pleasing ..i think i could get some very nice city shots .. maybe not quite street candids as by the time this thing focuses the decisive moment would have passed  but they type where you find an interesting background , prefocus and wait for the right person .. eh maybe..

still on the fence

Thank you MM. I sure hope the SR app gets added back to the newer bodies. I still like using filters in the field when I can take my time (ie long exposure shots)

---------------

I took about a week off from shooting and editing. Tonight I edited that sunset shot and I also blended 3 exposures for this shot of my kitchen. I used the updated Lumenzia to blend the shots. If this was for a high end customer, I would attempt to remove the reflections in the stainless appliances. I would also have cleaned the bases of the stools. :-)
