I am asking you which camera you would pick. For you. If you could only have one. Just curious. :)

For me, a9. No hesitation. Silence is golden for the perched bierds. 20fps with no funky wings from rolling shutter is priceless. 250 raw buffer is icing on cake.
Remember I bought used, owner didn't like the way a9 worked with EF and Metabones. I told him to wait on update. He was impatient and I enjoyed a good deal,
even better than the greentoe I received on the Riii. Still expensive but you still have the 42mpx beastie so you'll have the best of fast action capture and landscaping.

These red hues were painfully challenging to convert from ProPhoto to sRGB. Did the best I could...

Since the chat about small flashes last week I’ve been using my Nissin i40 indoors a lot. The reason being my fuji x100F is my goto camera in those instances as it has a built in flash and it’s hassle free. My hope was that I could show to myself the Nissin isn’t a hassle (which I have done) and then sell the x100F and spend the money on a lens. However I’m having a real hard time letting go of it. I seem to have an emotional attachment to it for some reason, I love the size and the looks and it’s sharp as long as you don’t shoot wide open at MFD. but I really don’t need 3 cameras! Was planning on buying the cv40 with the sale money. Just can’t seem to bring myself to sell it. It’s ideal when I need a small camera and don’t want to be lugging about the expensive Sony setup

After the Nissin came up here, I investigated it... very impressive little flash, clearly better than my Godox TT350X.
But then I investigated further, not wanting to stray from the convenience of staying with Godox and found this:

Oh boy, Godox is not standing still!

If only there was a big bird on this tree (preferably with a fish in its mouth), maybe I'd get a few more likes :(
By the way, I still can't add the a7riii to my gear list... when's that supposed to be possible?

It’s been misfiled at the moment. Look under Sony > DSLR and it’s there.

a7 III is under Sony DSLR as well.

Here's a BTS for the brandy shot. I used two strip boxes firing through a diffuser on one side and a white reflector on the other side of the glass. One strip box was angled forward to try and give a gradient highlight and the other one was straight on but further away to add more light in general. The background is a piece of white foamcore and the 'stage' is a 12" x 12" sheet of black acrylic.

The final image is a composite of three shots. A main shot of the glass and brandy, a second shot where I used another piece of foamcore to add some light to the rim of the glass and the third, the swirling brandy done by hand that was composited in too.
