Using the a9 completely opposite of what it was designed for. Studio headshots.

Seeing as we all look at things differently..... It's not the handrail or shadow being in the shot I find awkward, it's the fact that it cuts (what is to me) the main feature of that arched doorway straight in half... Personally, I'd be moving left or right a touch.... ;)

Alfredo, take this with a pinch of salt as you constantly produce amazing architecture photography and I don’t but this is what I felt too with this particular image. I initially felt a step or two to the right would have gave a clear view of the wooden door and a bit of a side on view of the railing.

I think his teeth seem brighter than his shirt which is a bit distracting to me.

Thank you MM for the feedback. Yeah I know what you mean about the rail. My reason for including it was it to serve as a leading line to lead your eye up to the church. Perhaps it's too much of a distraction? I can try a square crop to cut off the bottom.

I am with MM. It would work better for me.if it didn't disrupt the door, that seems to be the point of interest based on light and the subject, so it's all about the height of the camera for me. Hard to fix I know.

I think the lines would be stronger if you had been centered on the stair railing and let the shadow be the leading line.

Thank you guys for the responses. This really helps me out. I'm going to reshoot the scene with the recommendations provided here.
