If you can get that mix right, then it's awesome :) Obviously depends on their ages/abilities/etc but I managed to drag mine over to the Brecon Beacon's (95mins drive) for Sunrise a month or so ago - My boy (12 yrs) loves anything like that anyway and surprisingly enough, even my daughter said she enjoyed it (nearly 14) but she did have her mobile Wifi thing so she could do live video chat/live instagram/etc

Today - On my own

My daughter is a few months away for 13. You never know what you’re gonna get! She was definitely full plugged in on our last trip!

Jamie, the irony, I need a bee now way more than I need a bierd.

Robert in a couple of weeks your Spring will probably have sprung and just the profusion of blossoms and more bees than you can shake an A9 at... Sheer Heaven.
Ps my legal team informs me that I have made no guarantees in making the above silly presumption

Jamie I'm looking forward to them. Thought we were in for some but it turned cold again near freezing last couple and next couple
of mornings.

Here's this afternoons find. As much as I love the a9 this shot wouldn't have been so good with it, e.g. a huge crop.

My favorite thing in Lightroom I think. I wish they would enable something like that on the iPad app.

Ditto this. I use this feature alot.

My failed maternity shot of the wife. Decent shot, but I say failed because we never argue, but photographing her always turns into an argument lol.

I initially planned out some spots at a local park....packed up my gear and headed out there...but like every photogenic spot during golden hour ever, the park was crowded, my wife got impatient with me setting up lights (I was visualizing really wicked halo's with rim lights), and we ended up leaving with nothing but failed shots. We got back to our neighborhood at the peak of the golden hour, so I pulled over next to some random shrubbery next to the running trails and snapped this.

Scene is not ideal, but the shot turned out well and it made for a funny story.

Beautiful!

A technical question for you. Was this natual light, or did you use a strobe? If strobes, could you give a little background on lighting/modifier used, and the positioning of them?

Cory we went to the Alvord Desert which sits right below the Steen Mountains. It's about a 4 hour drive. I've been to Leslie Gulch and that is a beautiful place too but the Alvord is pretty cool. PM me if you want more info.

Here is my water drop setup for now. The trigger controls the valve and the master flash by cable and fires the camera via IR remote. This way, there is no lag and I've been able to get my timing right.

I suspended my a7r2 over the table on a "C" stand with the Laowa 15mm macro lens and I mounted the Air 1 Commander on it to control the flashes when I took this setup photo with my wireless remote. :-)

Nice setup!

How long did it take for your Pluto order to arrive? I ordered their trigger, valve, and arm last week.

These Egrets strike so fast, and with so much force, that I got two shots of it in progress...I thought it was kinda cool with its head buried in the swampy waters...
