Went to try something different. Never tries to shoot anything along the lines of sports or action. My goal was to try and meet four different criteria. The first and most important was to have the rider and horse completely sharp. The second was to have all four hooves off the ground. New that was not going to be possible on every shoot, but tried. The third was to have a decent amount of dirt kicked up behind the horse. The final was to have a great expression on the rider. Was able to get some of those in pictures, but never all together.

The first image was my favorite out of the day.

Thanks, I was really thrilled with these since it was the first time I had ever taken pictures at any horse racing event.
