ouch... shame that they don't support their lenses better.

How do they not support their lenses...they do offer a 4 year warranty

I don't think Sigma did anything wrong. This ended up being a misunderstanding because of damage that occurred during shipping.

Fantastic Sigma.

So I filed a claim but the USPS wanted me to bring the lens into them to show the damage... well I couldn't do that because it was sent TO the sigma service center. So it looks like I'm out a warranty claim unless anyone knows of any tricks.

Furthermore they repaired the front of the lens that was damaged during shipment but they DID NOT replace the OS unit?!?!!!. Same crap.

So I had to make this long video showing the exact problem with the OS unit as it did not change. Have you ever seen the OS unit bob the viewfinder around WHEN THE SWITCH IS OFF ON THE OS???? mine does. Then when the lens just sits there it makes irratic noises and jumps around on its own every 30 seconds or so.

The lens must go back and I'm very aggrivated right now vmad

Well after getting the lens back and them fixing the damage by shipping but not fixing the OS unit I had to send it back and just got the lens back today. Finally the lens is fixed.

I tell you what though they must have calibrated it or did something this thing is very sharp like unbelievably sharper than before.

120-300 @ 300mm 2.8 vs 200 F2 @ 280mm 2.8 w/ 1.4xIII = sigma is sharper center but the canon is slightly sharper on boarders. The difference is at the pixel peeping level though. Colors are very close.

So my 200/2 performs the same as the sigma really at 280mm vs the 300mm.

I'm thinking of selling the 200/2 and keeping the 120-300 now. This 120-300 has better OS as well and for what I remember my sigma has rock solid AF too.

Just paid $245. to have the IS replaced in my Canon 70-200 f4/L IS. Never dropped or kicked around. Just started rattling and not focusing one day. Probably 4 years old.

6D, 6DII, 70D, 80D, R10, RP, Lumix DC-FZ80 and a bag full of lenses.
