Hi guys,
Sorry for posting this thread in this section as I was unsure on which section this question fits.
Is there any way I could buy accidental protection for an used camera gear we buy through a seller?
Thanks!

Sounds good. Will it be a hassle to go through that or just submitting/sending pics of the broken item and the purchase receipt would be sufficient? Sorry for the noob questions.

You really need to ask your insurance provider those questions. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

However, your question is a bit vague. Are you looking to insure the gear once purchased and received or are you looking to purchase insurance for shipping? If it's the latter, there are carriers which will insure the shipment for a fee. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Sorry for the blunt question. I was looking for the Accidental protection plan that is shown for electronic goods in online stores like Amazon, Adorama, etc., So I wanted to know if there are any similar accidental protection plan for camera and lens purchases through forum members or 3rd party. As PhotosGuy suggested I will check with my insurance agent.

I did a forum search when I was looking to insure my gear and SF came towards the top in satisfaction among members here. My agent quoted me $120/year for $9K in gear w/ full coverage against loss, damage, or theft. I am happy with the peace of mind, especially since home owner's insurance doesn't cover the gear by default. SF also allowed me to insure it for a value I was happy with, instead of forcing me to insure for the price paid. Some of my gear has come down in replacement value than what I paid at purchase. 5D4 Gripped | 16-35 f4L IS | 24-70 f2.8L II | 70-200 f2.8L II IS | 85 f1.8 | 600EX-RT | 430EXII | YN-468II | YN-622c | 'Stuff'
