A different spider than the one which had been living in my driver's side mirror.

I went down to the Cleveland Metroparks and didn't see anything but a couple of dragonflies and a couple of bees which were too quick to photograph.

I saw him hanging from the mirror when I came back from the trail.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what's going on with the spider(s) living in the mirror.

First there was a web with prey in it, but no spider.

Then there was a brown spider of which I captured some images.

Then it disappeared for weeks.

This one suddenly appeared when I returned to my car after taking some pictures of Rocky River (the river, not the town). It was there when I got home, but when I left again to take some pictures of Lake Erie, it was gone.

Lately, there have been lots of spider webs, but no spiders.

Good magnification for good detail!

I like the first image the best because of the blue background. My only nit would be that the tip of the leg not leave the frame.

Thanks.

That's the side of my car.

It was hard to get a good shot since it was hanging on a web strung between the mirror and the window. I had to be careful to get close enough to be in focus, but not close enough to hit the web with the diffuser.

Those were the best of the shots, the rest of them having the eyes out of focus.

The combination of the Tokina 100mm macro and the extension tubes has worked out pretty well for me recently.
