Yesterday I took my 1981 vintage Soligor 500mm mirror and recently purchased 500mm Opteka out to Lake Erie for a few shots at sailboats, seagulls, etc.

While my camera bag has enough room for my Canon T4i with Canon 18-55mm kit lens attached, ProMaster 70-300mm zoom w/ 2x teleconverter, Tokina 100mm macro with ProMaster extension tubes, and Sigma flash, there was obviously no room for a couple of short but rotund mirror lenses.

I ended up putting the Soligor in its leatherette case and the Opteka in its faux leather bag into an old completely unpadded nylon utility bag I got in Korea.

The utility bag got the job done for one day, but I'd like something with integral padding.

I need something that will safely carry two or three lenses (not just the mirrors) for short distances. I don't hike or travel for photography. The farthest I'll be going is from a parking lot to an observation deck or similar location. It's never going to travel except in the trunk of my car.

I'm looking for something reasonably priced to meet modest requirements.

Funny... I was just thinking about this. I saw that peakdesign has a few on their site but wanted to come here first and see what the peeps are using.

I've got a huge ProMaster camera bag that I never use because of its size.

As a stopgap, I ended up must moving everything into it. It works, but it's clumsy when I only have the camera and one or two lenses.

I'm still looking for something to supplement my regular bag.

You might go to Monoprice.com and look at some of their Pelican-like cases intended for different purposes (like for rifles, hand guns, binoculars, etc.) I just bought a case for mynew (to me) Olympus M-1 body and lens (that's right, M-1, not OM-1)

Canon dSLR system, Olympus OM 35mm system, Bronica ETRSi 645 system, Horseman LS 4x5 system, Metz flashes, Dynalite studio lighting, and too many accessories to mention

That's a good idea and one which had occurred to me the other day.

I can always use another Pelican or Doskocil type case, even if it doesn't always have lenses in it.

Thanks.
