Hopefully someone can help me out with this. Lightroom can not see my raw files. Lightroom version 6.10.1 raw 9.10.1. I bought the newest version i could outright(the idea of a monthly subscription is ridiculous to me), and I can not for the life of me figure out how to update/find a plug in to get my *.cr2 viewed. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

Or try another raw converter. LR is not the end all, be all.

LR is not the problem. I use LR 6.10.1 and ACR 9.10.1. It opens my 80D raw files just fine.

Are you using an old library, or the one that LR6 converted?

OP, did you try going to UPDATES in the HELP menu? It is the third item from the bottom. LR6 updated automatically on my machines (WIN7-64 & WIN8) as soon as it installed.

OP is using the most up-to-date version. That does NOT mean that Adobe hasn't issued minor fixes/tweaks that are available through the menu system via: MENU->HELP->UPDATES.

I recently bought the SAME VERSION the OP has. After it installed, it did an UPDATE. The version numbers did NOT change. My copy of LR6 works just fine with 80D raw files.

I sure did, about 4 separate times., adobe says it is up to date. Someone mentioned to update the camera raw version, but I'm not seeing anywhere on how to do that.

Can DPP open your raw files? Just thinking they may be corrupt. A real SWAG!

"On the import dialog, there's a both a "new photos" and "all photos" tab (at least in the CC version), so try the "all photos" tab, as you may have imported the images already. I think at one point this feature might have been a checkbox "hide photos that are already imported"."

This fixed it for me... I asked helped on reddit too. :)

Enjoy your new camera, and your new version of LR. I like both, and hope you do as well.
