Some more shots of a Kingfisher from early this morning. Again the light was poor and I had to raise the iso to 1600 but at least it came fairly close.

Juveniles have a white tip to the bill when they leave the burrow which fades to black as they get older. They also have a muddy breast as compared to the adults orange breast. The real clincher is the colour of the feet which is browny orange in juveniles and orange in adults.
