How I did it: I found a window facing south on a slightly overcast sunny day. Waited for the sun to be at it's brightest point in the sky, then using a piece of rope, tied a reflector(having removed the cover and using the translucent side) to the curtain rod so that the top of the circle would be just over the edge of my head.


After that it was only a question figuring out flash power, light modifier(10$ 33inch umbrella from amazon), and hiring self time on the camera(nothing fancy, just an older rebel T3i/600d)

I think these are not very flattering to the model. Lighting is a bit hard and the expression looks forced, kind of like a nervous, surprised smile as if he was caught doing something he shouldn't have been doing.
