I have been thinking about adding one of these to my kit, so this tipped me over the edge. Ordered with Amazon prime. I already have a few AD600 units, but they are a bit heavy for run and gun, so I plan to use the AD200 when I need something lighter. With the included barn doors, grid and gels, it should also be useful as a background, kicker or hair light for studio work.

Mine did not come with the reflector. $7.00 on Amazon. I already have 5 or so from my AD360 collection, it's the same part.
There is a new smaller reflector that just came out for the AD200, but I woudl question it's effectiveness given it's less than half the size. Still, a lot more compact.

Thank you Jake for the update, I already have the cheetah version of this flash and a spare battery for it. Looks like I am going to "have" to jump on this. 285 for everything is just tooooo good for me to pass. Now I can put my 2 850ii's in the sale forum and replace them with 2 of these 200's

Having just bought one two weeks ago, I am reluctant to jump on this, as much as I'd like to. :)

After further use with the ad200 I might be convinced at a future sale. for now I have more AD360 than I can use,. between the manual and ETTl.

But man I really do love this kit! The fact that I can use it with the fresnel head as a BIG honking 3-4x power speedlight really makes it one stop shopping solution fo rso many applications.

I still want an onboard flash unit from time to time, and it is a much better X1 controller for other flashes than the X1C unit is. I have 2 of the Godox flashes and 2 of the AD360s. As much as I want a couple of these AD200s, the sensible side of me says NO. It would really be a great set to carry into the field for senior portraits though, argggg...

I am waiting for DJI to send my goggles to me, and that is as much as 2 of these AD200s.

I will still use the V860ii as a on camera master. It is so good at it I sold my X1-C since I rarely used it. It always seemed as if either the flash was on the camera or the xt-32 was (which i just like the ease of use over the X1-C).

Elv had mentioned something about a X2 coming out. So I will just use the 860ii and the XT-32 until then.

What drone do you have?

Have the Phantom 3 advanced still. I was going to buy a Phantom 4 but I have so many of the batteries that couldn't be used in the 4 that I will stay with the 3 for another year. I thought that was a bad decision on their part.

That is interesting, perhaps I might consider selling the X1C as well. I like its form factor, I don't like how it has special behavior when it comes to the AD360 units.

I have the Phantom 4, and cannot wait for the goggles. My kids will have a blast as I fly that thing out in the country side at 45mph and 400' and down. Yes, the battery thing is a pain, I was lucky and picked up extra for $85 or so used. I guess they redesigned the battery itself to have more capacity though, so at least you do get something for the change in battery.

This looks to be a a nice setup. I have a mix of Canon and Yongnuo flashes. I'm assuming I would also need to pick up the R2 transmitter and receivers to get everything on the same system. Is that correct?

Presumably you can still run the YongNuo transceivers to your Canon and YN flashes, while also running the Godox. You may have to piggy back one of your YN622C units onto the X1C or other Godox transmitters though? I kept 2 YN622C units just in case for the future, I really like them, but had 4 of them. Once I moved over to all Godox units (flashes, strobes and 1 AD200), I didn't need all of them. I also haven't tried to use both sets at the same time either.

I blame you for this Jake. At least that is the story I will be giving my wife :)

lol, my wife doesn't even care any more, if I ever say "I thought about buying such and such", she just says "Why didn't you?".

I did get an NDA and consulting agreement signed this past week and put in about 15 hours of documentation. Here in about 45 days, I will have close to $2K to spend on stuff, I had forgotten about that. I should just go get a 2nd AD200!

How many years did it take to get to that point TS?
