26.... :)

Actually that started to happen about 2 years ago when I started to do senior portraits and other shoots. It helps that I agreed to having 2 custom dish cabinets built for the dining room to hold her dish collection. We had enough a year ago for one cabinet, and in the past year, she has filled the other one. :eek:

She doesn't bat an eye at the stuff in the closet under the stairs any more. She also knows I am pretty good about only keeping things around that I will use. If a body goes unused, or a lens, etc, I sell it within 6 months or so on average. I will never be somebody that has 4+ bodies that accumulate through the years. I don't like to horde, camera gear anyways. If I could afford hording cars and bikes, I would need Jay Leno's garage...

In summary, it has to go both ways!

Presumably you can still run the YongNuo transceivers to your Canon and YN flashes, while also running the Godox. You may have to piggy back one of your YN622C units onto the X1C or other Godox transmitters though? I kept 2 YN622C units just in case for the future, I really like them, but had 4 of them. Once I moved over to all Godox units (flashes, strobes and 1 AD200), I didn't need all of them. I also haven't tried to use both sets at the same time either.

Okay, thanks. I think I understand. But minimally, I would still need to pick up a R2 transmitter?

I think you have 3 options to fire your Godox:

X1C
XT32C
one of the Godox flashes that has wireless built in (860II or TT685)

At least these 4 units can all serve as transmitters to the other devices.

I am a recent convert to Godox, so I am not as well versed as other fine members here though.

I hadn't thought about those other options. Good to know.

This would be my initial entry into the Godox system, and the eVolv 200 looks really tempting.

I have the Phantom 4, and cannot wait for the googles.....

I've been reading this discussion and wondering what the heck "Googles" has to do with drones?

Then my dyslexia finally gave me a break and I read it right.. and wow, does that ever look cool!

Don't blame me for the $5.00 cover, I'm pretty sure it comes with the kit! :p

Yes, or one of the master flash units.

Ideally though (and we all seem to have done this recently) you would sell the Yongnuo and consolidate. One fo the beauties of the Godox system is that everything from manual studio strobes to fully ETTL/HSS speedlites will /can be controlled seamlessly with any of their 2.4Ghz controllers/mater flash units.

Like you for some time I was mixing the two though,. it just means a lot more AA batteries, transceivers, and in some cases sync cables etc.

Didnt come with my Cheetah kit and according to the "whats in the box" it doesnt come with the adorama kit. Since I keep my bulb in the head at all times I need it covered :)

However I didnt let you take the blame for the Lens cap I lost for my 70-200...... How in the hell do people keep track of their lens caps? Seems like I am always buying a new 1...and I only have 3 lenses :)

I would suggest that you add the X1T/R2 controller, and or an 860II/Zoom Li-ion master speedlite,.

And also add in as many X1 receivers as you have/or intend to use/ Canon speedlites. Thsi was as you shift to all Godox in the meantime you can adapt pretty much anything to work with that one system using those dedicated receivers.

X1T and X1R @ Flash havoc;

P.s. I would ink to the Adorama version here, but for some reason the Adorama website plays havoc with my work P.C. :(

P.S. the Godox 860VII is on sale on Amazon now;

Thanks for the clarification. That's what I was thinking in making the transition from Yongnuo. As you noted in your other post, Godox/Flashpoint offers a really nice end to end system.

Yes he is, isnt he.

Even cheaper for the Flashpoint, which comes with a 1 year warranty through adorama.

That is not a made up regular price like some stores do. I paid 199.00 for my 860ii and 150 ea for my V850ii's.

That flash with its Li-ion battery in that thing is pure amazing. I shot a wedding a couple weeks ago with a Cheetah v860X (same as Adorama R2) on camera as a master and then 2 V850ii and 1 Cheetah Cl-200X (same as evolv 200) in groups. The wedding was in a gymnasium basketball court (very high ceilings) I shot over 900 pops in ttl mode all at 1/200 sync speed and never had to change a single battery. Even though I have spares for all the lights I never needed them. That would have been several packs of AA's with my old YN flashes, I switched to the Cheetah/Godox system back when the first Li-ion flashes came out in May of 2014. Sold off every canon and YN shortly after and have been thrilled with my Cheetah versions and the whole godox system.

The 860ii looks to be a solid flash, and it's a good price for the Flashpoint version.

It's helps to hear some feedback on real world use. Ah, decisions, decisions. ;-)a
