Lightroom 6 - presets not previewing

Does anyone else have an issue with the presets not previewing in LR?

I Googled but couldn't come up with a solution.

If I'm in the Develop mode and then go over to my presets I can scroll through them and as I hover over each one it shows the preview of the preset in the navigation window. But after developing 2-3 images the preview stops working.

Canon R5 - Canon RF24-105L F4, Canon 40mm, Canon 70-200L F4 (non-IS), Canon 100-400ii, 1.4xiii

So when the problem happened last night I discovered that if I go back to the library, pick a different date and then go back to the current photos I'm working on that the preset preview will work again for another 1 or 2 photos.

I'm not sure why preview doesn't always work.
