A few shots from a one week California trip around the 4th of July, including Point Reyes, Calistoga and Yosemite. My first, hopefully not last, time visiting any of these locations.

C + C welcome. Thanks for looking.

First up are wild trees near the Point Reyes Lighthouse.

Second is a post-sunrise over Calistoga with a hot air balloon on its descent.

Third is a random girl on the ledge at glacier point.

Fourth is a crop to the east of half dome from glacier point near sunset with Nevada Falls and the almost full moon rising in the distance. Wish I'd stuck around longer as it turned out to be a pretty sunset and the moon appeared brighter in the sky as it got darker.

Strongly encouraged. It's an amazingly varied state. I can't wait to go back.

You must have been at Glacier Point on July 7. I was at Washburn Point specifically for the rising moon.

FWIW, that is Mount Starr King under the rising moon.

Mike, nice detective work. July 7th is exactly right. Good to know about the mountain name, as I was wondering when posting. How did your shots turn out?
