If you've seen any of my work, chances are you've seen this steamer trunk. It's a gift from a dear friend, now gone. The trunk is about 100 years old and has traveled with me for 1/5 of it's life. I don't hold valuable many "things". This is one.

Shot with the Tamron Adaptall SP 28-80

Single exposure, unassisted self portrait. No compositing/layering. (This one was a bear to edit, though...)

From a recent walk on Strensall Common. The Autumnal colours are almost over now, the Silver Birch are slowly shedding their yellow leaves.

Love this. How do you keep some things in the scene from being affected by camera movement?

Its actually two photos combined Lesley. I layer them in Photoshop and then selectively erase parts of the photo in the top layer.

Duh, that never occurred to me. It worked great! I thought you had discovered some magical camera power, lol.

I'm so glad you asked that. I wondered whether the image was a composite and feared being judged ignorant, on the assumption that everyone but me would just know.

Oh thank you for your comment! I almost didn’t ask but I really wanted to know so I put on my big girl pants and asked, lol.

Like the horz and vert movement. Nice idea to get both in one image. There's gotta be a lot of photo opportunities on that theme.

BTW, I was thinking these images could have a been multiple exposure, one static (like f2.0) and one moving (like f8.0). I tried it once and deleted on the spot, but I'll figure it out one day.
