Chincoteague is a fun place to visit and camp, but be warned the biting flies’ (green heads) and mosquitoes are murder. The pony’s go to the beach most days to catch the breeze coming off the ocean. Keeps the bugs down. The ponies have also learned how to turn the shower water on for a drink but never turn it off.

Yes it is, and yes they are. Were you at Chincoteague in VA or Assateague in MD. I ask because I don't recall any showers at Chincoteague and I thought they fenced off beach access to the ponies there. I haven't been since last fall though.

Did you stay for the pony swin.

Cool shot of the pony drinking.

Assateague in Md. Go there often during the off season, less tourist and bugs.
