Canon DPP ver 4 is not able to work with my Canon G12.CR2s

Ok, I use DPP ver 4 for my RAWs from my Canon 70D.

However, I am unable to deal with the RAWs taken from my Canon G12.

What do I need to do so that I can continue to use ver 4 for my 70D AND edit my images from the G12?

It doesn't look like DPP 4 supports the G12. If you look on Canons support page it looks like you need DPP 3.15.0

True, you can download 3.15.0 from https://www.usa.canon.​com …g12?tab=drivers​_downloads.

Note that both versions can be resident on the same computer so the 4.x can handle the 70D and the 3.15.0 the G12.

I took the link above, but it is just an updater. I need to have the original CD. Problem for me is that I cleaned my office up about 6 months ago and trashed a lot of CDs as I was tired of them taking up space in my drawer...I figured I could always just down load it, but NO! Canon site does not provide the original CD,even if I have the serial number from my camera body.

I have a G12, G15 and 70D in the household. All purchased by Canon or Canon resellers (Best Buy and Adorama).

After several Canon support emails (which were actually very quick turn arounds) they were unable to help other than to say I could "purchase" the software from their online store! Purchase! I already did purchase it...why am I unable to locate this software easily?

I am in a predicament because the next time I need to reformat my OS hard drive and reinstall the OS and software, I am screwed again!

Am I missing something obvious here? I just want a version of DPP that will allow me to edit my RAWs from my G12...why is that so difficult </end of rant>

and download the first item, Digital solution disk software, that contains DPP 3.14, then you can update it.

When I go to the link you specify above, this are the software options I get. I do not see Digital Solution disk software, nor do I see DPP 3.14. I must be doing something wrong...please advise:

Do you see on your attached image where it says Windows 10 (x64) next to operating system? Change that to Windows 7 (x64) and then you should be able to do the download and install. There isn't any guarantee it will install and run but it won't hurt to give it a try. If it won't run/install I suggest you go to http://www.northlight-images.co.uk …mera-software-without-cd/ where there is a detailed procedure to "fake" out the Canon software.

OMG! I had to change the Operating System from Windows 10(x64)(Detected) to Windows 8.1. I was then able to see/download and install the software you suggested!

I note on the Canon Japan website that you may have to change to "desktop mode" to have it run properly. If you are using a desktop with Win 10 you are likely in that mode. If you are using a laptop follow the directions at https://www.asus.com/u​s/support/FAQ/1013056/ to switch to desktop mode.

If you downloaded the Digital Solution disk and installed from that you can now do the "updater" versions and get something newer/better. Just verify compatibility with the G12 and the operating system. And note as I said above you can still have the latest and greatest 4.xx on the same PC for your 70D. I personally find 4.x to be quite nice as compared to 3.x.

Thanks! Yes...I have latest DPP 4 for my 70D needs, but I needed the older version to be able to deal with the RAWs from my G12...when I am in the DPP 4.0 I am unable to view/handle the RAWs from G12.

I wonder if it is possible to get Canon's Raw Codec 1.11.0 or similar to work with later versions of DPP 4.x ? Or is codec 1.11 only for 32-bit win?
